     The Inaugual Oklahoma Flute Festival would like to invite all flutemaker's to enter their work into our  flutemaker's competition. Held at Tenkiller Lodge in Keys, OK.  This competition is open to everyone who makes a Native American or Native American Style Flute.

Dates and Times:

           Saturday October 6th, 2007
        8a.m.- 9:30a.m.      Flutes brought to lobby of Tenkiller Lodge (no entries after 9:30a.m.)  
        9:30a.m. - TBA      Judging of Flutes
        TBA                       Annoucement of Winners
        TBA                       Flutes must be picked up!


Entry Fee:
$10.00 Per Flute Entry Fee
Payable when you enter your flute. 
Please make check or money order payable to: LogJaM Arts
No more than 2 flute entries per flutemaker!

Please include Okflutefest Flutemakers Competition Form

Each flute will be given an identification number at the time it is brought to the Lobby of Tenkiller lodge.
After the Judging is completed you may pick up your flute. 


Eligibility Requirements:

1. Flutes must be handmade by the artist.
Any flutes entered falsely, artist will not be asked back to future flute festivals and flute will be immediatly removed from competition.

2. Flutes must be made of natural materials, such as wood or cane

3. Competition is open to everyone but flutes must be presented  in person by the artist.

4. Flutes must accompany entry form signed by artist.  Okflutefest Flutemakers Competition Form.pdf

5. For purposes of competition all flutes must be of Native North American or Native North American Style Flutes.

6. Any identifying maker marks, or signatures must be covered and out of judges sight.

7. Because of the vast arrary of creative styles in flutemaking any number of fingerholes are allowed, and there is no theme the first year.  Anything goes!

8. Judges and festival Coordinators cannot enter flutemakers competition.

9. Collaborative flutes accepted with permission of all artists.  All artists collaborating must present flute(s)  in person, and all artists involved must sign entry form.



Judging Criteria:

                    1. Flutes will be judged on: crafsmanship, sound quality, quality of materials, and creative design.

                    2. All flutes will compete together, there are no divisions.

                    3.  The judges decision is final!

                    4. Judges will be announced after judging is complete.

1st Place...................$75.00
2nd Place..................$45.00
3rd Place...................$25.00
